Great news that ‘Babble Tower- the life raft of language’ (80x100x4cm) has gone though to the next round of the Mother Art Prize. I don’t often go in for prizes but the Mother Art Prize supports artists who are mothers and as a mother of  and grandmother of 2 – and more significantly as an artist who has consistently made work for 20 years  that represents the invisibility and ambivalence of motherhood –  its important to support other mother artists, mothers and organisations like Procreate that support them too!

Babble Tower- the life raft of language’ is part of the Domestopia series of paintings that use bitumen and oil paint on canvas to explore the monstrous and hilarious consequences of caring for small children.
